Terms of Use

Last updated: 13 September 2026

In brief

  • Rent Gran Canaria compares cars and refers you to the supplier; it does not rent them.
  • The rental agreement is between you and the company that hands over the keys.
  • Spanish law governs these terms, without taking away the consumer protections of your home country.

Who we are and what the site does

carrentalgrancanaria.com is published by Rent Gran Canaria, Avenida de Tirajana 12, Playa del Ingles, 35100, Gran Canaria, Spain. The site shows cars offered by independent rental companies on Gran Canaria, lets you sort them by price, gearbox, deposit condition and pickup point, and forwards your request to the company you select. That is the full extent of its role: we are a comparison and referral service, we own no vehicles, employ nobody at a rental desk and set none of the rental conditions.

These terms cover browsing, comparing and sending a booking request. Using the site means you accept them, and they end where the rental agreement begins.

Your contract is with the supplier

When you confirm a car, your dates, pickup point, contact details and vehicle choice are transmitted to the supplier operating it. The supplier checks availability, applies its own rules on driver age, licence, deposit and insurance, and issues the voucher you show at collection. The resulting agreement binds you and the supplier only: Rent Gran Canaria is not a party to it, cannot alter its clauses and cannot cancel it for you. A complaint about the vehicle, the desk, the deposit or a damage charge goes to the supplier under that agreement.

How the service is paid for

Using the site costs you nothing. When a rental that started here is completed, the supplier pays us a referral fee out of its own margin. The fee is not added to your price, and the results follow the sorting you choose, never the size of a supplier's commission.

Prices and availability come from a live feed

Every figure on a results page, the daily rate, the deposit, the fuel policy, the mileage allowance, the extras and the vehicle category, is read from the supplier's system at the moment you search. Rates on Gran Canaria move with the season, and a car free in the morning can be taken by the afternoon. The price that counts is the one confirmed in your booking, not one you saw on an earlier page.

Photographs represent a category; a supplier may hand over a comparable model from the same class. If a listing looks wrong, tell us at [email protected] and we will raise it with the supplier.

What we ask of you

Give accurate details, hold a driving licence valid in Spain, satisfy the supplier's age and experience conditions, and bring the documents its listing names. Use the site for your own personal purposes: no scraping, no automated queries, no invented bookings and no resale of the listings. Access may be withdrawn from anyone who misuses it.

Changing or cancelling a booking

Each supplier sets its own cancellation window and amendment charges, shown on the listing before you confirm. After confirmation, changes and cancellations are handled by the supplier directly, quoting your booking reference, and any decision on a refund is the supplier's to make.

Limitation of liability

We take reasonable care to keep the site accurate and available, but we cannot guarantee that a listing is free of error or that a car will match its description, because those matters are in the supplier's hands. To the extent Spanish and European law allows, the liability of Rent Gran Canaria for your use of this site is limited to direct loss caused by our own negligence or wilful misconduct.

We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as a missed flight from Gando or an unused hotel night. Nothing here limits a liability the law does not allow us to limit, and nothing removes the rights you hold as a consumer by statute.

Intellectual property

The text, layout, guides, comparisons, code and design of carrentalgrancanaria.com belong to Rent Gran Canaria or are licensed to it. You may read and print pages for your own use; copying, republishing or mirroring them requires our written consent. Supplier names, logos and vehicle photographs remain the property of their owners.

Governing law, jurisdiction and consumers

These terms are governed by the law of Spain, and any dispute arising from them is heard by the Spanish courts. If you are a consumer resident in another EU member state, nothing here deprives you of the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence, or of your right to bring proceedings in its courts. Where a dispute with the supplier is heard is set by the rental agreement, not by this page.

Changes and contact

We revise these terms as the site and our supplier relationships develop; the version dated beneath the title is the one in force, and continued use after a change means you accept it. Personal data from a booking request is covered on its own page.
